Cookie policy

01What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. Similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage), work in a comparable way. This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies the criatima.pt website uses, what they are for, how long they are kept and how you can manage your preferences. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.

02Consent and categories

Under Article 5 of Portuguese Law no. 41/2004 of 18 August, only cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work are used without your consent. Analytics and marketing cookies are only activated if you accept them in the cookie banner, which lets you accept all, reject all or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting and does not prevent you from using the website. We use the following categories:

Essential
Always on. They remember your chosen language and your cookie decision; no consent required.
Analytics
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity: measure how the site is used so we can improve it. Only with your consent.
Marketing
Google advertising cookies, when campaigns are running, and the Google Maps map on the contact page. Only with your consent.

03Essential cookies and storage

These do not require consent: the NEXT_LOCALE cookie, set by the website itself, remembers your chosen language until you close the browser (session cookie); the criatima-cookie-consent entry, in the browser’s local storage, remembers your cookie choice until you change it or clear your browsing data; and the criatima-attribution entry, in session storage, keeps the origin of the visit so it can be linked to any contact request — it is only created after you accept analytics or marketing cookies and is deleted when you close the tab.

04Google Tag Manager and consent mode

The website uses Google Tag Manager, by Google, to manage measurement tools. It loads on every visit in Google’s consent mode (Consent Mode, version 2): until you give your consent, no analytics or advertising cookies are set and only cookieless signals are sent, such as the fact that a page was viewed and the consent status. Full measurement is only activated once you accept the corresponding category.

05Analytics cookies: Google Analytics

With your consent to analytics cookies, Google Analytics measures in aggregate how the website is used — pages visited, visit duration, traffic sources and device type — so that we can improve it. It uses the _ga and _ga_* cookies, which last 2 years. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

06Analytics cookies: Microsoft Clarity

Microsoft Clarity is only loaded after you accept analytics cookies. It records how the website is used (clicks, scrolling, heatmaps and session recordings), masking the content of form fields. It uses the first-party cookies _clck (1 year) and _clsk (1 day) and the Microsoft cookies MUID (1 year), CLID (1 year), MR (7 days), SM (session), ANONCHK (10 minutes) and SRM_B (1 year). Recordings are kept for 30 days and heatmaps and aggregate data for 13 months.

07Marketing cookies

With your consent to marketing cookies, and only when advertising campaigns are running, Google Tag Manager may load Google advertising cookies, such as _gcl_au (90 days), which measure the effectiveness of ads and, where applicable, show ads to people who have already visited the website (remarketing).

08Contact page map

The Google Maps map on the contact page is not loaded automatically: it is only displayed when you click “Show map” or if you have accepted marketing cookies. From that moment, Google may set its own cookies, such as NID (6 months), and process data in accordance with its privacy policy.

09Managing and withdrawing consent

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, using the button below or the “Manage cookies” link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block essential cookies, some features, such as remembering your chosen language, may stop working.

Your preferences

Review or change your cookie choice.

10Providers and transfers

Third-party cookies are set by Google (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC) and by Microsoft (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited and Microsoft Corporation), which may transfer data to the United States of America under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission. Further information on the processing of personal data, your rights and how to complain to the CNPD is set out in the Privacy policy.

11Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated whenever the cookies used or the applicable law change. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top. In the event of any discrepancy between the Portuguese, French and English versions, the Portuguese version prevails.
